Cookie & Tracking Notice

We keep this simple. The ZD Rewards website does not use cookies or third-party tracking. The ZeroDeposit app uses only privacy-respecting, anonymous analytics to help us improve it, and contains no advertising or cross-app tracking software. This notice explains what we store, and why.

Summary

• No advertising or analytics cookies. We don't set any.
• No third-party trackers or social pixels. The site loads no third-party scripts, and fonts are served from our own domain.
• One local preference. The site remembers your light/dark display choice on your own device.
• No cross-app tracking. The app uses only anonymous, first-party analytics to improve itself — never for advertising, and never to track you across other apps.

On this website

We use a single piece of first-party browser storage: a themeentry in your browser's local storage that records whether you prefer light or dark mode, so the site looks the way you left it. This value stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not used to identify or track you. If you contact us, we process only the details you send us, to reply to your enquiry (see our Privacy Policy).

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard web-server request information — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems. This is a normal part of operating a website and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

In the app

The ZeroDeposit app stores only what it needs to work:

• your sign-in session, held securely by your device's operating system;
• a push-notification token, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver them;
• your notification preferences; and
• short-lived information needed to complete a payment in progress.

The app also performs anti-abuse "app integrity" checks to confirm requests come from the genuine app. These protect the service and are not used to profile or track you.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the app is used — for example which screens are visited and which features are popular — so we can improve it. This information is aggregated and de-identified, uses a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, and is never used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.

No advertising or tracking

ZD Rewards does not use your information for advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites — the analytics we use is first-party and anonymous. We do not sell your information, and we do not allow third parties to track you. Because we do not track you across other companies' apps or sites, the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS.

Managing your preferences

• Website: you can clear the stored theme preference at any time by clearing your browser's site data for zdrewards.co.za.
• App notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off in the app or in your device settings at any time.
